Taxi from Gare St Lazare to CGD

We are thinking of trying to take a taxi from Gare St Lazare to CGD. Is there a taxi stand there and would we have a problem if it's a Sunday afternoon? Thanks

Hi,
Yes, there is taxi stand, so you shouldn't have any issue getting a taxi to CDG. Traffic on the way out of the city will be light, usually.

The fare is fixed at 53€ for up to 4 people with luggage. Tipping is not required.

Thanks very much, it worked out great. We walked out of station, over to Rue St Lazare and got a taxi immediately.

An aside, when we first arrived in Paris (CDG) and wanted a cab to Gare St Lazare, we went to the designated taxi queue at door 8 (e.g.) and the guy working the taxi line, upon learning that we wanted to go to Gare St Lazare told us "you need to go to door 5". We went to door 5 and there were no taxis, it was all private transporters. We walked back down to official cab line at door 8 and a different guy, upon learning where we wanted to go, tried to tell us the same thing. We told them there are no cabs there, which they obviously knew, and questioned why they sent us down there. No idea what that was about but we eventually got a cab.

@jrobindavis....that same thing happened to me last spring at CDG. I've landed there enough to question it but when I walked out the door and saw all the private cars, I just worked my way back down the sidewalk to the regular taxi stand which I knew the location of. Very weird. There were 2 women ahead of me who had been told the same thing.

Just posting for the benefit of someone who may search out this info in the future. There is a RoissyBus that goes between Opera Garnier (7-minute walk from Gare Saint Lazare) and CDG. It is about €13/person, and leaves CDG right outside of arrivals. It is simple, cheap and my preferred method of travel when arriving/departing Paris from this area.
