Taxi for six people with luggage?

Hello,
We are a group of 6 arriving at CDG from JFK. We are planning on taking a taxi from the airport into Paris (hotel unknown right now, as it is a study abroad program and not up to us). Since it is our first time in Paris, we prefer a taxi to the RER.
I know there are minivan taxis, but can they comfortably fit 6 college students with luggage? We'll each have a carry-on and a suitcase. Would we be better off splitting our group and taking two taxis?
What might the price estimate be?
I know similar questions have been asked here a million times, but most are out of date since the fixed-price taxi rides went into place!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello!

I actually just booked the same thing, but for 1 chaperone and 6 high school kids. I am using PARIS-SHUTTLE.
For 6 people it turned out to be around 15 EUROS each. This includes a private van and we are greeted by the driver of the bus when we clear customs.

I've used Paris-Shuttle before and have never had a problem. Some people on here have, and don't like it - others have heard horror stories from friends of friends.

The fixed airport rate for the taxi is €50 or €55, with a supplement of €4 each for the 5th and 6th travelers, so two taxis would cost almost double.

taxis from the airport will hold 7 travelers so if you haven't overpacked you should be able to wedge in 6 students with carry ons on their laps (hope those would be totes, purses or messenger bags) and 6 reasonable sized suitcases. As noted it is 4 Euro for the 5th and 6th passengers
