We will be arriving by Eurostar from London to Paris. We plan to take a taxi to our hotel near the Eiffel Tower. Can anyone tell me how much that will cost? I saw a post this morning about rates from the CDG airport to Paris and it seems as if there are set rates. I've read posts about going directly to the the Taxi area and we plan to do that, but thought it a good idea to know the cost approximately. Will we be paying by Euros or do the cabs accept credit cards? Any information is appreciated.

Some cabs take credit cards and others do not. I'd be sure to have euros. You can get an estimate of fares at www.taxifarefinder.com or www.taxisg7.com/estimation-tarif-duree-course. My guess is that if you are traveling on weekday with normal traffic, the fare will be around 25 euros.

I took a cab to the Notre Dame area from CDG, it was a bit less than 25 Euro. I think to the Eiffel Tower it would be a tad more (not much) and (as I recall) there were no set rates from the airport. Most cabs did take cards, but not all.

CDG to Notre Dame for 25 euros? Do you mean Gare du Nord to Notre Dame. Or was this decades ago? If not that was a bargain. Anyway, rates to and from Orly and CDG have been set at a flat rate since March or May of this year. There is no flat rate for taxis from the train stations.

I got the cab for 25 Euros last year. It was a very wet Sunday with no traffic and fairly early in the morning. Not sure if that made a difference, but it certainly wasn't "Decades ago."

Wow 25 euros from CDG to Notre Dame is an amazing fare. Fares like that make the 50 euro flat rate seem especially high. I have never been so fortunate. The OP is traveling from Gare du Nord so fares to and from CDG may not be as relevant to his or her experience.

I understand, from other posts, that it's now a flat 55 euros from CDG to the Left Bank. Try the Search feature above to check this out.

The flat fees for airport taxis are the same in both directions, by the way.
If you reserve a taxi the day before you leave, there will be a small fee added - around 7 EU.

Guess I got lucky. There was definitely no flat rate. I assumed it was cheap because there was absolutely no traffic..... we zipped in from the airport in record time. While we were in the cab I kept thinking: "this would really cost a lot if we were stuck in traffic."
