Taxi and Touring “ala Carte”- great private guide for the Dordogne

If anyone out there is looking for a private tour or driver in the Dordogne region, I highly recommend this company which I found in the RS guidebook. Christoph and his wife run this company and they are the only two that work for the company. Christoph picked us up in Bordeaux in his comfortable electric Mercedes van to drive us to our place in Sarlat and planned a stop on St Emilion for us. The next day, he picked us up and took us around the Dordogne for the next 10 hours. Christoph grew up in the area and knows every castle and nook and cranny along the way. Every time he turned a corner there was an absolute “wow” moment. We told him that we were running out of wows. The next day he picked us up and drove us to Bayonne so we can meet up with our RS Basque tour. I will never forget the three days we spent with Cristoph. He took such good care of us and we felt so pampered and cared for.

That sounds very interesting! Do you mind sharing how much you paid for each touring day? I couldn’t readily find pricing on the website.

This is the quote that he emailed me-

Our 2023 touring tariff is 55€ per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. (Most of our tours last usually around 8 hours)
This tariff is per car, not per person. This tariff applies with a start in the close surroundings of Sarlat.

This is including my wife or me as your multilingual driver/guide, the car, the mileage and the waiting time as well as all risk insurances. There is even free WiFi in both cars.
It does not include entrance fees but we can book most of the sites in advance. It also does not include food&beverage.
