Hello, I'm an older woman traveling alone with luggage from CDG and would prefer not to take trains to get to Chartres. Can anyone recommend a taxi or a car service from the airport to Chartres? Thanks!

It is well over 100 km to Chartres. I doubt you could get a metred taxi to go there. A private car could run to several hundred euro, depending on the car and company chosen. Perhaps someone here can recommend a car service that charges less.
Try emailing Shuttle Inter ([email protected]) to see if they will do it and what they will charge. They charge 135€ to go from CDG to Beauvais which is about 80 kilometers so my guess is that if they will do a trip to Chartres which is about 120 kilometers that the charge will be somewhere above 200€ but less than 300€.
These are well known car services in Paris:
Expect to pay somewhere around 200€ to 250€.
Hi from Wisconsin,
I heard you when you said you didn't want to take a train. Climbing in with luggage can be a steep chore. And yet...
As an old man I would still suggest this. Get a taxi from CDG to Montparnasse Rail station. Ask for help into the station if necessary. Once on your platform, ask for help getting into the train. Take the train to Chartres. In Chartres hire a taxi to take you where you need to go.
People are kind. Asking for help gives another person a chance to do a good deed and their day will better for this opportunity.
Early purchase train tickets are as low as $11.23. It is under a two hour trip to Chartres.

Also consider that if you're travelling solo and can't handle your luggage, you have overpacked ...
Thank you JHK, Tocard, and wayner for your helpful suggestions!
