Table d'hôte - Provence??

We've traveled the Dordogne and Burgundy and easily found lovely places that offered dinners but have found it a challenge in Provence. (we have found several B&Bs that offer dinner in the summer - but not September). It's great to not have to drive after dinner, especially in the dark - and , if we don't drive, we can share a bottle of wine!

My husband is a WW2 buff so, in September, we will be visiting Aix for Camp des Milles and Toulon for the Resistance museum, and could stay anyplace in between Aix and Toulon.

Could you suggest guest house/bed and breakfast that serves a table d'dote in the evening? Or a hotel that is not in the city (with parking)?

Thank you!!

I don't have a lodging suggestion for you, but I want to suggest taking a warm layer into Camp des Milles, because the lower level was distinctly chilly on a hot day.

Thank you - I would never have thought of this. It must be that the atmosphere is chilly - like Auschwicz and so many other somber places that we need to remember, ber.

I've hunted and hunted and have answered my own question and thought to leave some information for others. The best web site I've found to locate bed and breakfasts that offer table d'hote is that of Gites de France
https://www.gites-de-france.com › en. It provides information on various regions and you can identify specific requirements (see services - guest table). We've not yet decided where to stay but the following sound quite nice -

Domaine de Calypso, Impasse De Souriet, 13390 Auriol (not available for dinner in Sept.)
Ferme Le Pavillon. Near Toulon, Bargemon, Var
