Swiss Travel Pass

Traveling for 3 nights in June. I added up the cost of the trains I’ll be on and it came to 538 (for two people). The cost of the pass for two people is $605. Plus we will be doing two mountain excursions. So I’m assuming it’s more economical to get the travel pass for 3 days.
1). How soon should I purchase my travel pass?
2). When I go on the SBB train site, I don’t see anything there For Swiss Travel Pass holders so I can get my tickets for free. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

Answer 1. Buy it online once you know your flight is definitely leaving or you can get it at the SBB office at the airport.

Answer 2. It is a pass good for any SBB train; you just show it after boarding. Swiss trains are mass transit you don't need a reservation for specific train. It gives you discount on certain mountains excursions not covered by the Swiss Travel Pass.
Here is the map of what is covered with the Swiss Travel Pass:

You will get a lot more responses if you post your questions in the Switzerland section of the forum, rather than this section (France) (!).
