We have to shop for staples for the rental farmhouse. Hoping to find a large supermarket between Moustiers-sainte-marie and Les Baux. It could be in Cavaillon, or Lourmarin, or Les Baux but I'm wearying of looking. Anyone know of one of the big or even medium-size grocery stores? Not looking for gourmet foods for this errands. Just milk, eggs, bread, the basics.

You will likely bump into something further north, but the intermarche on the D99 between Tarascon and saint Remy is good. It's got everything you need (including towels and stuff like that). It stands out like soar thumb on Google maps (and in real life). Though only a supermarket, their fish counter is impressive - meats aren't bad either.

As Nigel says Sunday they will generally be closed.
But a google search shows both Intermarche and E Leclerc supermarkets in the area.

Thank you so much. I didn't know the names of the supermarkets (as opposed to small gourmet shops, convenience stores, etc.). So helpful to know the names of what I'm trying to find.

If you are coming to Moustiers, at the exit of the highway (Manosque) you will find plenty of supermarkets at the bottom of the city. It is the biggest city close to Moustiers and full of convenient big stores. As they said it is closed on sunday and sometimes on mondays as well..
