Sunflower Fields in Provence - Sept

I am planning to visit the Provence Region for the first time in late September. I know I will miss the lavender by a couple of months but I have heard that I may be able to see Sunflower fields in bloom. Does anyone know of specific locations to see them? I will have a car and am currently planning to use St. Remy as a base to visit Les Baux, Arle, Nimes etc. I'm open to all suggestions for the region, so feel free to share any suggestions. The only definite on my itinerary is Carrieres de Lumieres in Les Baux.

I wish u the best in your search. Out of 10 years of summer European travel I only found sunflowers (after peak) in one location at random. It is a lovely sight to see poppies in bloom, lavender in bloom and sunflowers. I do not know who broadcasts the info on the web. Hopefully someone out there knows as it is at sight to behold.

Unless the weather is bad, the sunflowers usually flower in July and until mid August, so you are likely to be unsuccessful in late September.

I’ve seen sunflowers much further north in Burgundy in August. When I’ve seen them in summer in Provence, they’ve been dried out. They are just in random fields wherever a farmer decides to plant them as part of their line up of crops.

The best sunflowers in France viewing is on the annual Tour de France broadcast-early July for three weeks. They love sunflower scenes as yellow is the TDF color.

There are sunflower fields all over Provence -- some fields north of Avignon near Caderousse, large fields on the voie verte - Via Rhona - between Beaucaire and Arles. I just checked my photos from last year: photos from Sept 18 2019 near Caderousse are in front of a field of completely dried out sunflowers. I am sorry, but I think you will miss the tournesol in bloom.
