Sunday October 1 Museums

We're only going to have a few days in Paris, so we're trying to avoid waiting in line as much as possible. We've decided not to even try going to the Louvre for this reason, but want to see Musee d'Orsay and Musee de l'Orangerie.

We had planned to do the Musee d'Orsay in the morning and L'Orangerie in the afternoon on Sunday, but we just realized that that is the First Sunday and museums are free.

How crowded will they be? I'm looking to avoid long lines and lots of people. Maybe we should do these on Saturday?

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Kevin

I would do them on Saturday if you possibly can!

With timed entry tickets to the Louvre there really is not much standing in line. The lines are for security which no one skips. You'd buy tickets on the actual Louvre website. However, going to the Louvre is not a must in my book but then nothing else is either. What I enjoy might not be what you enjoy!

URGENT URGENT URGENT

Even though it is free you still need a ticket. You need to immediately to go the website and book a free ticket. Most of the timeslots are already booked. The free tickets for October went up on the website Sept 4.

Wherever you decide to go on a free day, go early in the day. Many locals show up after lunch.
