Getting started on planning our next trip. We’ll focus 2 weeks or so on these 2 regions & are looking for some suggestions on where to set up a couple “base camps”, must-see places, great food or wine tours, etc. We are food lovers (but not necessarily seafood), wine lovers, history junkies, and culture fiends. We don’t need upscale, Michelin-starred suggestions. Looking for experiences that will linger in our memories. Thank you in advance for your generous feedback.
