Good Day,
We are doing a wine trip/tour starting Oct. 5th in Burgandy. We are thinking of flying into Paris and taking the train to Lyon (We meet the tour there at the airport). We fly into Paris on October 3rd. Do you recommend we spend the day and half in Paris before taking the train to Lyon or does it make sense to spend a single night in Paris and take the train to Lyon the next day and spend the day in Lyon before joining the tour? We have been to Paris before..
Is there any reason you don’t want to head directly to Lyon upon arrival into Paris CDG? There are several TGV trains right at the airport that will get you to Lyon in 2 hours.
If you have been to Paris and it doesn’t hold any more interest for you then proceed to Lyon.
We've seen most of the top spots in Paris like the Louve and Eiffel Tower but it's been 10 years since we were there and I'd like to see Notre Dame after the rebuilld
In that case, unless you're adding Paris after your Burgundy tour, I would spend both nights in Paris before going to join your tour in Lyon.
