My wife and I will be in Paris in late November. We have been to Paris many times, and have seen all of the major sights. We are looking for suggestions for places to stay outside of the major tourist attractions. We are in our mid 50s and enjoy walking and exploring neighborhoods. I was wondering if anybody had a suggestion for a walkable neighborhood with good restaurants and cafes outside of the 1st through 7th Arrondissements.

I would recommend the Bastille area with close access to the 11th. The 11th is the current arrondisement with a lot of good restaurants being enjoyed by locals.
