Suggestions for hotel near Canal St Martin

We've stayed at Le Citizen a couple of times - the lasr time in 2019.

If you are already staying in Paris perhaps you can just stay at your hotel and take the Metro to the cruise? Is this a “cruise” of the canal or the Seine as part of a larger trip or something else? If you really want to stay near the Canal St Martin I can recommend this Holiday Inn Express where we’ve stayed several times. Thank you. We are actually going in a 2 week cycle cruise - boat close to canal. Hence why staying direct from airport for 1 night . Thank you for your suggestion!

The last time we stayed at the HIE, there was a SAG van at the hotel and about 20 bicycle riders departing the next morning after the free breakfast. The location of the hotel is on the water. There is a brewpub on the opposite of the canal but walkable over several different bridges. There is a cute cafe in front of the brewpub in an old canal lock/bridge tender cottage. There is a good locals restaurant on the hotel side of the canal just a block away. We have also eaten at the seafood restaurant that is on the deck of the hotel.

Thank you. My next question was on any special sites to see / restaurants in the area . We are there for about 24 hours before getting on our cycling tour boat!
