Suggestions for AgroTourism Stay in France

Hi,

We are planning to visit France in mid-August 2017 for 8 days. We have had great Agriturismo experiences in Italy, and would like to do the same in France. We are thinking we would like to stay north or northwest of Paris (Normandie?) within a couple hours drive or train to Paris so we can visit there a couple of days. We'll have a car, but can also take trains to various excursions around France. We're not tied to that region - but that is the the recommendation I have thus far - so we're open...

What we're hoping to find...

1) Rural vineyard or working farm, clean, hospitable, wifi, swimming pool perhaps, cooking classes, food and wine, etc.
2) Breakfast provided
3) Two Rooms - One for my girlfriend and Me, one for our 16 year old son (two-bedroom cottage would be great)
4) Nearby excursions (within a couple of hours) - historical sites, castles, beach, quaint villages, hiking, natural splendor, etc.

I would love some recommendations for towns and / or regions that you think would fit the bill. If you have any specific farms, vineyards, etc. that you can recommend, that would be great! Thanks!

Frank

We've rented gites all over France, usually through Gites de France, as well as occasional B&B's (chambres d' hotes), and while a few of them have been connected to a winery or a farm, we didn't actively seek that out, nor would I call them agritourism places. However, Gites de France does have a program it calls "Séjours bienvenue à la ferme," which may be helpful: https://www.gites-de-france.com/location-vacances-Bienvenue-a-la-ferme.html

We stayed at one for a week in the Dordogne. The food was DELICIOUS!
