Hello all! I will be in the Dordogne region of France for four nights in August (planning a last minute trip with my husband and 20 year old son). I am training for a 200 mile bike tour in September, so need to find a good base where I can cycle about 20-25 miles in the morning before leaving for the day's sightseeing. I see the bike trail from Sarlat but was hoping to stay either in a B&B in a smaller town or a rural self catering cottage somewhere. I love biking quiet country roads as well as dedicated greenways, and would like some smaller hills but don't need anything too strenuous. Ideally I'd like to be within about a 30 minute drive of Font du Gaume as we will have to get in line early morning to try and get tickets. Can you all suggest some good places to search for accommodation? Thanks so much!
