A 100% EV was muuuuuuch cheaper than an ICE, so we have been (perhaps too optimistically) adventurous, and will be renting an EV from CDG, heading to Rouen (stopping at Giverny, will charge there) and then in subsequent days touring around Normandy through Loire and then back to CDG to return before our Paris stay. Before booking, I looked a bit at the availability of chargers and they appeared to be everywhere, (and Chargemap showed availability at the sites I looked at—so they didn’t appear completely full) and close to where we would be staying or sites we would be visiting, so I assumed we could easily charge before we went to a museum, or dinner, etc. Now, I’m getting nervous after reading some people’s issues using credit cards from US. We have a couple of weeks before our trip, has anyone had success with the Chargemap card, or loading any other charging apps on their phone for tap to pay?
