Strikes in Paris

Just read about train and airport workers striking. Has anyone that's been there recently experienced longer than expected delays on metro or at the airport?
Going June 9th-14th with my two teens. Their first time in Paris. Just want to know if I need to prepare myself and them for long waits
Thanks!

I find nothing at the airport, nothing with the RATP other than on June 3rd affecting the Stade.

Where did you read this information?

I generally avoid the Local as it is just reprinted information and not always entirely accurate. Still, I see nothing about strikes, where are strikes discussed in this article?

Airports are understaffed, which is happening everywhere. Are not understaffing and striking completely different problems?

There is strike action planned at CDG on the 9th but it's probably going to be a minor inconvenience. The reason is that there are 800 companies involved at CDG (many are subcontractors) and they won't get an agreement to strike from all of them.

There are no problems currently on the metro or RER.

That doesn't mean there won't be strike actions on the metro or RER when you are here. For example, for people arriving at the airport on June 3rd then there will be strike action on RER B. This is the train that serves CDG and indirectly orly. RATP claims that the service on RER B will be almost normal but that is doubtful. Generally, if they'll be striking, the slow down will start the afternoon of the day before (the 2nd).

RER B was also interrupted this past weekend. Besides wanting more pay, the strikes are about making long weekends. June 6th is Whit Monday. Strike on the 3rd, you get a four day weekend (at least). Just like how there was a bus strike earlier last week when there was already a four day weekend. This turned the four day weekend into effectively a week long break for them. There is, however, minimum service.

Strikes are quite common all across Europe, they come they go. Everyone manages.

French workers seem to like to strike in May & June.
When I went to Paris in May 2018 the RER was on strike and it was a mess at the stations. Now I prefer to go in September.
