Strasbourg Hotel for 3

There are 3 of us traveling to Strasbourg the first week of November and plan to spend 5 nights with day trips during the stay.

I have researched Hotel Suisse that was in the RS guide and also Hotel Aux Trois Roses or Hotel Roses. Both are 2 star with a 4 out of 5 rating. Both you pay extra for breakfast. Both hotels are very good at responding to my emails. So now I must make a decision.

I am very much hoping a few of you have stayed in either of these hotels and could give me your thoughts.

Thank you as always.

We don't use RS books for advise on hotels, but rather book through Venere.com Currently in Strasbourg at this time...we are in the Best Western Hotel de l'Europe by Happy Culture. VERY nice. We paid a total of $288.94 for 3nights. Breakfast is extra, but there are several places very close to pick up bread or get a hot chocolate or coffee. There are 2 grocery stores in a few blocks of the hotel, and TONS of places to eat.

Easy walking to every interesting point in old town. Just minutes away from the church, the boat tour , Petite France, etc. Our room is very clean, the bathroom modern. Afternoons they offer free water bottles in the lobby, and free pastries almost all day. Happy hour is 6-8 with free wine and more pastries.

Front desk also gave me a mobile hot spot devise, so I have FREE wi-fi where ever I go. Friends we are traveling with rented a car and drove north by 30 min, and the mobile hot spot worked for me all the way in the car. The mobile devise has been great to use on my phone to ask Siri questions about the sights here and other questions just in general.

Ellen,
Thank you so much and I will check out the Best Western if they can accolade 3. I have a Best Western in Lyon book and have always had good luck with them. And thank you for Veneer.com. Great tips!

I can't wait to see Strasbough and we are going to do a one night in Baden Baden for the thermal spa and the local train requires a little stop and change of trains to get to Baden Baden.

Thank you again and maybe I will get to read a report of the must do's and don't of the Alsace region!

So many thanks,

Kathy
