Looking for recommendations for mid price range hotels that are central to sights.

What is your price range? Strasbourg is the HQ for the EU, it is not an inexpensive town. And if you want something central to places like Little France or the cathedral you should expect to pay, especially since September is a month when both the tourists and the EU will be competing for rooms. That being said I just stayed at the Aloft, which is just south of the old town, for a reasonable price. The best part of that is parking was half what it was just a kilometer further into the city center.

I stayed at the Hotel Gutenberg last month, a nice mid-range hotel just off Gutenberg Square. It is just a couple of minutes walk from the nearest tram stop and 2 blocks from the cathedral. Maybe 10 minute walk to Petite France. I arrived by train and took the tram from the station. If you come by car, the hotel has no parking, but there is underground parking in Gutenberg Square.
