Any tips on a charming lunch stop?
Any particular city or town you might have in mind?
Are you driving or taking the train?
Driving. My husband is Parisian. Just looking for a good lunch restaurant in a small charming town. Any ideas?? Thx 🤓
You could make a small detour to the medieval town of Clisson (south east of Nantes).
If you can make it to Rennes, there's Le Galopin on 21 Avenue Janvier - open for lunch, traditional menu.
Thank you both so much. Both great ideas 🤗
At the risk of sounding crazy.....I had the best ham of my life at the large rest area about 1/2 between Nantes and Bordeaux on the autoroute.
Maybe too close to Le Mont-Saint-Michel, but Fougères is worth the little detour (if taking the A84).
Not crazy, Matt. Some of the newer reststops have independent restaurants serving good food. It's possible you stumbled on one.
Yep. We've stopped at some great truck stops but hit or miss. Thanks all for the tips. Going to stop in Clisson. 👌
