I am presently staying in Amboise with my family with three children for several days. We are driving afterwards to Dinan. It looks like a 3.5 hour drive. Anything notable to see on the way. We will be staying in Dinan for three days.

Fougères and Vitré are both worth a visit. Of interest can be Musée des 24 Heures du Mans near the famous racetrack of Le Mans and lesser known is that this place has a nice historical city centre to walk around. Following a more southern route Anger is worth a stop too.
