Still confused about needing a test

Hi at the end of our trip in a couple weeks we will be going from Zurich to Paris by train. We will be in Paris 3 nights. We were not planning to get our tests until 48 hours before our flight departs because we are flying BA through LHR back to the US and I believe even to transit LHR we need a test in the 48 hour time frame.

However, do we need a test to get on the train from Zurich to Paris? If so that likely means 2 tests for us.

I wrote to ask but haven’t received an answer. We don’t need the pass Sanitaire because we have to get tested in Paris anyway. But do we need a test to get on the train from Zurich to Paris as well?

You need either a valid pass sanitaire or a recent test to board a train in France (other than the RER for which no test is required). I should think that boarding a train in Switzerland is done in accordance with Swiss requirements.

To board any aircraft destine for the US, you must have had an Antigen test within the 3 days preceding your boarding. This is a US requirement, not French nor English.

I know of no test currently required to leave France. However, the UK may have some testing requirement for those transiting its airports. This would be a question for your CDG to LHR air carrier to clarify.
