Staying near EuroDisney with daily trips to Paris

Do the responses about PARISPASS hold true if we are staying at a timeshare at EuroDisney and planning to travel into Paris each day for 6 days? We understand that is in Zone 5. Is there a single, affordable travel pass that we can purchase to go in and out of Paris and travel around in the city while we are there each day?
Does it still make economic sense to buy separate Museum Pass?

The Paris Pass is not a pass if by pass you mean a single card that does both museums and transport -- it is just a marketing scheme where they take the overpriced Paris Visite travel pass and package it with an ordinary Museum Pass throw in some coupons and add a big fee. If you want these two products you can buy them more cheaply and quite easily once you arrive.

If your 6 days falls mostly between a Monday and Sunday of one week then get the Navigo Decouverte charged for 5 zones for about 35 Euro plus the 5 Euro for the car (rechargeable for 10 years). If you overlap a weekend then the Paris Visite at about 61 Euro for 5 days makes sense as you would save the 15 Euro round trip commute cost each day and also be able to use it in Paris. But the ND is best if it fits your time frame or is close to it. There is also a children's Visite for those 11 and younger for half price.

This is the web site with official info -- google is not our friend putting commercial rip offs at the head when you google for Visite.

The Visite is almost always a rip off but the one case where it isn't is when you commute from far outside Paris into Paris every day. so if the ND doesn't fit your dates, go for that. You can also use it from the airport to Disney but I think you have to go into Paris to do it. Perhaps someone else knows if there is a public transport option from CDG directly to Marne Le Vallee.

If you will visit many of the things on the Museum Pass it makes sense and there is a cost effectiveness per day in getting the longer time period. It allows you to use special security lines at the Orsay (where lines are always awful without tickets or pass) and at the Orangerie and you should be able to use the Richelieu entrance at the Louvre. There is no shorter line for pass holders at the Notre Dame tower or generally at Ste. Chapelle.

Thank you, this helps. What happens if we stay 8 days? Does the ND come in 8-day packs or would we need to purchase a 5-day + 3Day then use the less expensive carnet to move around in the city. Are these tickets available at the airports when we arrive?
We really appreciate the help on this.

The Navigo Decouverte is only good Monday through Sunday. It will pay even if you arrive on a Wednesday. If you go over a day, just buy extra tickets at the station. To save time, you need a 1" by 1.25" ID photo for the Navigo, so bring your photos with you. They can be selfie's printed out with the size adjusted to the correct dimensions. You can buy them at the CDG train station.
There are a few direct trains from CDG to Marne- La Vallee station (Disneyland), but they require tickets from the French National Railway. Its quick. People have missed the stop because it comes up so soon.
