Does anyone have any recommendations for a special place you have stayed in Sarlat? Since we will be going in the summer have you encountered any issues with the old buildings being too hot without any air conditioning or did you find the accommodations comfortable? Finally we will be driving so what do you recommend for parking and/or do any of the accommodations have parking? I have the guide book but am looking for some personal experiences.

We had a good stay at the RS recommended Villa des Consuls. Check their website to see if it appeals. We stayed in La Bertie, and appreciated the living area and patio. We were there in April 2024 so I can’t address your question about heat, but the website says the apartments have AC. You can book parking through them at a garage a few blocks away. I think parking was 15 euro per day.

Onsite parking , 10 min walk to town-although it’s a very steep climb back! - we drove down in the evening and easily found parking at bottom of hill
Does have AC
The pool was very much appreciated as we were there during a wicked heat wave

We booked at La Villa des Consuls. They have AC, a nice terrace, and reserved us a parking spot. Thanks for the recommendations!

We stayed in an apartment with free parking and a/c, though we were there in late September and didn’t need it. There are only a few dates available, just 6 nights in June and 4 nights in August. It’s a bit late to be booking for summer. If you would like to provide your dates I can see if they match up to the available dates.
