I've been in Paris several times before but never where I saw the Tower lights at night. So, I've booked a room at the Trocadero for 2 nights just for that purpose. But Trocadero is expensive. Any tips for a more affordable hotel in a different area but still with a great tower view? Thanks.
Views of the ET add to the rooms cost no matter where they are. Do you want to up close or is a distant view okay? You do not saw how much you will be paying for your room and when you will be there so it is difficult to know if the hotels I have in mind will cost less. The best up close ET view in Paris is from the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower. Hotel de Londres Eiffel in the 7th has some upper rooms with nice ET views (not up close but not from across town). Hotel Terrasse in Montmartre has rooms with great panoramic views across the city including the Eiffel Tower. But as I mentioned above, I have no idea if these places are less expensive than what you currently have lined up.
We stayed there last year and although if was slightly expensive we are staying there again in April. I loved sitting on the rooftop deck in the evening with a glass of wine and a perfect view of the tower. Great breakfast too and only half a block or so from.the Tower. Never spent that much money on a hotel before but we needed it after a three week journey so we are planning to do the same again in the spring. Good luck with what ever you are decide.
2 nights July 1 & 2 is approx. $1000 USD. A distant ish view might be ok as long as i can see the tower
Well, the Pullman will be more than that for sure. Perhaps, others know of some places but I know of no place close to the Tower with a good view that will be under the $1,000 budget in early July. Hotel Terrasse might be within budget but you will be across town from the Tower. You can see it, of course, but maybe it will be too "distantish" for you. Take a look at https://en.terrass-hotel.com/rooms#room4 and see if it will be too far away for you. I have stayed in one of the suites and it was spectacular seeing all of Paris and the Tower.
If you are okay with a chain hotel, the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile has unforgettable views!
I work for Hyatt, so I stay there at least once a year. Sunrises, sunsets, twinkling - fabulous.
Thanks for all the info. I decided to switch to the Hyatt Etoile. Good views, lower rates with transportation close by. Never been in the 17th arrondissement. Is it a safe area for solo female? Thanks
