Staying in Eze fro two days - recommendations?

I have spent the day in Eze three years ago and its gorgeous but I want to experience the best of what the area has to offer. What are your recommendations as I dont mind going to Nice to tour a museum for example but want to spend time outside and not necessarily on the beach since I live at the beach in FL. Thought about a drive up to the mountains, are there other villages that are worth visiting due to their beauty and charm? Any restaurant recommendations as well. Merci!

I would not want to stay in Eze myself. Look at Vence, St-Paul de Vence. Do you only want a mountain village?

If you have a car, try going to St. Paul de Vence (early), possibly Vence Old Town and the Matisse Chapel (just outside the center) and then continue on to Tourettes-sur-Loup. Then hit Gourdon, another hill top town over the Gorge du Loup. If you have not done this journey, I would recommend it. Equal if not more charming towns than Eze, but just the sea is in the distance. All except SPdV will be less touristed than Eze.

Also close by are La Turbie (Trophie of Augustus), Peille and Peillon. Menton by the sea is also quite nice. There are also Franco-Italian hill towns like St Agnes, Sospel and Saorge in the high country above Menton. Across the border, Dolceacqua is really a neat hill town.

There are two Ezes in the area, which one are you talking about sleeping at, the one on the mountain ridge, or the one in the lowlands?
