Hello, looking at home rentals for just a few days somewhere near Pontivy or Loudeac since it looks like velo no. 1 and 3 are right by there so we could go in multiple directions each day coming back to our gite at night. Trouble is I can't seem to find bicycle hires in the area. We'll have a car rental as well but can't put the bikes in the car to get the car back to the gite and cycle from. Does anyone know of a lovely central area of Brittany with a bicycle hire in a village perhaps that we can stay by in a gite and thus cycle out on the routes on good days in May? This is not a point to point trip with luggage transfer. We're just wanting the joy of cyclying each day when we're not exploring villages by car or hiking. Thank you so much for your your advice, experiences and help!

Try this company in Gouarec. It is not far from Pontivy. Both the V6 and the Nantes-Brest canal pass through the village. I have been to Brittany several times and always rent bikes from Breton Bikes. You can just rent bikes, book a tour, or they even have a couple of gites to rent. The owners are so helpful with all things related to bike touring!
