Staying at CDG airport hotel the night before flight out. Need advice

We are wanting to stay right near/at the CDG Paris airport the night before our flight out of Paris. We have narrowed it down to the Novotel, Pullman, Ibis Style, or Citizen M. Has anyone tried any of these and have a recommendation? Thanks!!

We were happy with the Novotel; breakfast was adequate; it was convenient to the RER into Paris for dinner and convenient to the intra airport transport to the terminal in the morning. Room typical budget hotel. Haven't tried the others.

We have stayed a number of times at the ibis Paris CDG and been very satisfied, It is in very handy ti the RER and the shuttle train to Terminal 2.

The Citizen M rooms are comfortable but very small, if I remember correctly only one side of the bed has access, so if there are two of you in the bed well, could be tricky to get up during the night...

We recently stayed at the Ibis Paris CDG Airport. The accommodations were basic, but it was literally a 1 minute walk to airport. There was a restaurant in the lobby and a breakfast buffet nearby. There also was a grocery store just inside the airport terminal. Once inside the airport, it was a short walk to get to the airport train to get us to terminal 2.

+1 for the Novotel. I have stayed there 3 times. Very comfortable and convenient to both the RER and CDGval inter-terminal shuttle train. I have found the restaurant to be OK, but uninspired, for dinner, while the breakfast buffet is more than adequate. Service begins at 5am, allowing for sustenance before an early flight. When booking, be sure to book the Novotel CDG Terminal as there are other Novotels near the airport - same applies to the Ibis. I always book through the Accor Hotels website.

We are fans of the Ibis at CDG
(NOT "nearby") -- have never wanted breakfast before a morning flight, preferring to get through security and pick up coffee and croissants on the airside. Dinner in Paris before you head to the airport if you can.

I love all the responses. : - ) Would take more. I am gluten free and vegan due to health. I am pretty sure I won't be able to eat anything at breakfast. Citizen M has some gluten free bread and other items - only reason we were considering. Seems small but adequate. Are you talking about the IBIS Style or just IBIS? There are both. We are dropping a car at AVIS CDG the night before our flight. We might consider taking the RER into Paris and then back, but lean towards just relaxing. Wonder about RER later in the evening in terms of safety. I hope the strike is over by the time we get there.

The one we stayed at was just named "Ibis", not "Ibis Styles". The address is:
3 Rue de Bruxelles Roissypole Est, 93290 Tremblay-en-France, France

I would never eat dinner at the airport if at all possible to avoid. The worst meal we have had traveling (and we have eaten at the occasional toll road island canteen) was at the Airport Hilton at CDG -- and in addition to being nearly inedible, it was very expensive and staff were rude. When we fly out of CDG and drop a car at the airport and spend the night at the airport we either get dinner at a town on our way or we get there early enough to take the RER into town and get dinner in Paris. There are plenty of good places near Chatelet and Notre Dame stops of the RER

We stayed at the Citizen M in September. The food and booze were fine; but I felt like somebody's grandmother staying in their dorm room. I had to climb over my husband to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night - then I had to find the tablet that controlled the lighting...

Next time, we'll take our chances at the Hilton.

Similar when we missed our connection at CDG a few years ago. Air France put us up at an airport hotel and gave us a bunch of meal vouchers. Instead we took the RER to the Notre Dame stop and searched out a nice dinner. Will say the late RER ride back to DeGaulle was interesting to say the least!

Kate, you may actually do better food-wise to wait until you get to the airport. There is a chain called Exki that has some outlets at CDG. I fly out of 2E and got vegan food there in October. I’m not GF so had bread and did not notice what GF things they offered. I’ll say I had the most delicious tea there - jasmine with a huge amount of fresh mint in it. So far my experiments at home have not been able to recreate it!

EstimatedProphet, I burst out laughing at your experience. Much funnier in hindsight I’m sure!

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express. Convenient location, quick trip to airport.

Pam,
Thanks for the suggestion for eating at Exki for vegan food. Is Exki accessible for people without a plane ticket - we would be eating their the evening before we fly out. We might go into Paris too but likely will just chill out at the hotel or go to the mall, I believe via bus.

I am not sure if there is one landside or not. The one I got food at was through security.

We stayed at

Residhome Roissy-Park

It was very close to the airport, had a shuttle, and had a great fun piano bar with a real character performing in the evening right off the lobby. many flight crews came through -- we especially liked seeing the beautiful Asian crews leaving for their flights and then crews who were clearly ending their flights coming back through not looking quite as 'crisp'.

Anyway, we had a great evening there.
