Stay 1 night in Mont Saint Michel

It does seem that a quick search on booking.com yields few/no results (depending on day) around that time. No idea why, as 5 months in advance sounds reasonable. The hotels in La Caserne on the mainland are an acceptable backup: they're cheaper, better, and the shuttle to the Mont runs very late (midnight I believe).

Thanks for your tips! I got to practice my French and asked about reservations. The beginning of December is when they release the rooms. One of my dreams is to stay on the island for at least a night.

Encouraging. It seemed weird to have so little availability this far out, outside of peak dates.
And yes, it is indeed better to stay on the Mont if you can (I never did).

I just booked a hotel on the island of Mont St. Michel for one night, two rooms for May, 2024. I had trouble trying to book through any of the booking websites, even the hotel's own website. However, I emailed the hotels directly and was successful getting reservations.

whittonrichard187 I mentioned when I wanted to book after the email I sent. They did not offer to book for my dates in April. :( I just requested a manual request. We'll see. I was told to be patient in the last email.
