Stade de France - Coldplay Concert

Bonsoir,

My wife and I will be in Paris next week and have tickets to see Coldplay at the Stade de France. I've been to PSG matches at the Parc de Princes before, but that was before Covid and I've never been to Stade de France. I think we are going to take the train from Gare de Lyon (D train?), but it's not exactly clear if it's the same station on the way there and back nearby the stadium. Is there anything to be concerned about traveling there by metro?

Has anyone been to Stade de France recently for a match or a concert? Anything to expect from a crowd or Covid perspective? It seems like France is no longer requiring the Health Pass to enter venues, so that doesn't seem like a potential issue at this time. Also, are there any notable bars or restaurants nearby? Just looking at the map, there doesn't seem to be much close to the stadium. Any help would be appreciated.

Merci beaucoup!

Andrew

The Stade de France is not accessible from the Gare de Lyon, it is located north of Paris.
To get there from Paris take the RER line B (this is the train that goes to CDG airport) and get off at the "Plaine-Stade de France" station located a few minutes walk from the stadium via the " Stade de France avenue". (just follow other Coldplay fans)

In Paris To take the RER B, several possibilities of stations: Saint Michel, Chatelet, Gare du Nord (and others).
You will need a "Zone 2" ticket

You can get to Stade de France on RER B, RER D or Metro LInes 12 and 13. It all depends on how much walking you want to do to get to the stadium. The closest stop is actually on Line 13. So, yes, you can take RER D to Stade de France -Saint Denis (15 minute walk to he stadium) or RER B to La Plain Stade de France (10 minute walk). https://www.stadefrance.com/sites/stadefrance.com/files/field/file/transports/acces_stade_metro-rer_m12_2022_0.pdf I'd make the decision based on where my seat is in the stadium and my starting point.

I’ve been to the Stade de France about 6 times for football. I like to arrive by the RER to join in the fan excitement, but always take the Metro back into Paris because there are many more people queuing after the event for the RER than for the Metro.

Take binoculars. I've gone to 2 or 3 rock concerts at the Stade de France and one doesn't see much. But it can be a cool experience.

a friend of mine went to their Berlin concert yesterday (or day before) and they absolutely loved it.

I hope you have a great time.

Thanks all! Yes indeed, really looking forward to the show, we've seen them in a few cities in the US, but the show back in Paris 2012 looked amazing as well.

Of course, it's going to be like 100 degrees F on Monday and Tuesday, so thankfully we were able to get reservations at a public pool.

Do you have the required swimwear for French public swimming pools?
- swimming caps
- tight-fitting swimming trunks or speedos, NO board shorts.

Pools have vending machines but I would not count on them; best to pop by a sporting goods store such as Decathlon or Go Sport.
