Good morning. We are staying in Nice and would like to go on a day trip to St Tropez. We would like to go to the Place des Lices market so the ferry from Nice would leave us with limited time. The alternative would be the train from Nice to St Raphael then the ferry or taxi from the train station to St Tropez. Has anyone used this route and are there taxis available or would we need to book in advance? Further complication is that there are 7 adults and 2 toddlers so likely multiple taxis. Many thanks!

You could book two taxis ahead of time. There is also a bus. I'd also consider renting two cars from Nice or a minivan and driver from Nice. What time of year are you going? In my opinion, the best part of Saint Tropez is the beaches and resorts, not the town itself (which is nice but not exceptional). They hold an annual braderie which is quite popular.
