Would like to visit St, Malo, Monte St, Michel. Nice, French Riviera mid Spring best route 14 - 15 day trip. Nothing set in stone yet just trying to map out the best route to start and end the trip. Will not be renting a car just using train or bus, would appreciate any suggestion.

The nearest train station to Mont-Saint-Michel is at Pontorson, which I believe is a short bus ride away. There's a company called "Keolis Armor" that runs some buses between Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel. There's a train connection between Saint-Malo and Pontorson; I believe there's a transfer in Dol De Bretagne. I'm not sure how frequent any of those services are.
It is a very long train trip from Pontorson to Nice--at least 8-1/2 hours once you get from Pontorson to Rennes. The trip requires a change of station, as well as a change of train, in Paris. I'd seriously consider flying. It looks like EasyJet flies once a day from Rennes to Nice, and Rennes in accessible from Pontorson or Saint-Malo by train.

Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel are nowhere near Nice and the Riviera, and neither St. Malo or MSM are well served by public transport. You would spend most of a day, and multiple connections to try to get between these areas. If it were me, I would pick one side of France or the other. And if it were the Brittany towns, I would seriously reconsider renting a car.
