Have never walked around this neighborhood and so my 27 year old daughter and I are planning on it.
Any specific recommendations? Any good walking maps of the area?
We love to shop but don't have thousands of dollars to spend :)
Thank you!
Paris Walks has a guided tour there every Thursday at 10.30 a.m. (per their website). You just show up and pay the guide. There are two other walks around the Latin Quarter.
If you don't want (or need) a guided walk, here is a detailed self-guided walk that you can follow:

The two responses above are the two things I thought of when I saw your question. I would only add that a stop by the Deyrolle taxidermy store is quite a unique experience-it's at 46 ru du Bac.
By the way, Paris Walks has a Montmartre walk that's excellent too.
Have a great time!
Great, thank you! Yes, am going to do the Paris Walks ~ Latin Quarter. They look great.
The obvious sightseeing highlights are St-Germain church, St-Sulpice church, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Musee d'Orsay, and the view north across the Seine to the Louvre. Michelin publishes a pocket-size street atlas that lets you zero in by arrondissement and is packed with info about transportation, markets, pedestrian streets, etc.
Pretty much any Paris neighborhood is a delight to walk around in.
Hi Alex,
It looks like our Forum experts are right on the money, I also love Paris Walks.
Have a great time in Paris!
