Sprint cell service

Can anyone offer advice on cell service (iPhone 6 with Sprint). I plan to use text and net- is it worth getting an international plan for my 10-day stay in France?

My phone service provider is AT&T, not Sprint, but the best thing to do is to call Sprint & find out how much the international plan will cost you.
On my recent trip to France, I considered buying a SIM card in France, for our 3 week trip, but the cost for making international calls (to the US) was expensive, & so I ended up calling my family with Facetime whenever Wi-Fi was available (hotel).

You may also be able to make Wi-Fi calls with your iphone 6.
Check your settings to see if your phone has that capability, if so, you can call for free.

Here's a recent thread about this information:https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/tech-tips/free-wifi-calling-and-texting-on-iphone-6

Enjoy your trip!

I don't know whether Sprint phones are sold "unlocked", but you won't be able to use any other SIM's in the phone unless the phone is unlocked. You'll have to check with Sprint to determine the status of the phone.

I haven't checked their rates, but for a very short 10-day time frame, using their international roaming plan is probably the easiest solution. However you probably won't have the same data allotment as you do at home.
