Any recommendations on what to see in Mulhouse? I tend to shy away from museums. For reasons beyond my control, visiting another city is not an alternative. And I'm going there in 10 hours. Help!

If you like cars and Buggati's in particular you can go to Cité de l'Automobile, I know it is a museum but the collection is so unique, certainly worth a visit.

Mulhouse is not especially attractive, but it's worth seeing the town hall with its trompe de l'oeil painted decoration.
Apart from the car museum mentioned, there's also the ginormous French national railway museum.

For the record, I went to the plaza by Temple Saint-Etienne, and had a wonderful time sitting on a bench, watching people go by. Great setting, and I am confident I was the only tourist in sight for hours. Happy I stumbled across it- the area near the train station had me a little disappointed.
