Special occasion restaurant in Dordogne region

Once again I am asking for help regarding our June trip to the Dordogne area in mid-June. Our gite is in Vitrac, and we will have cars for transportation. We are seven (5 adults, a 9 year-old and a 12 year-old). Our son wants to treat us to an upscale, typically French, multi-course (3,4 5?) dinner as a thank you for the trip, a two-year delayed 50th wedding celebration, and an 80th birthday. Are there any recommendations for a nice restaurant that will feature a regional menu and a bit of a "special" treat? One adult is a vegetarian who does eat fish, the children are adventurous eaters, and the rest of us love French food of all sorts. We know a reservation is in order, and we will be happy to reserve well in advance. Thanks you for your suggestions!

In La Roque-Gageac (10 minutes drive from Vitrac)

The restaurant in the hotel "La Belle Etoile" (with a view of the Dordogne river, menus from 35 € to 70 €)

Or even more elaborate (menus from 38€ to 115€) so very good for the upscale treatment for your son:
"O' Plaisir des Sens" ( Pleasure of the Senses)

Whether it is in the first or the second you will remember this meal.

Reservation essential.
Contact them.

Our first great French dining experience was at the great hotel Esplanade in Domme. The views into the valley from here are also wonderful.
WE also had several great meals over the years at the Hotel Roseraie in Montagnac.

Restaurants change hands and chefs over the years -- but if recent reviews are good, these are hard to beat.
