Hi,

The EuroStar departs from London at St. Pancras Station, which is part of Kings Cross. When you arrive at Southhampton, take the train to London, connect to KingsCross on the Tube (if necessary, the underground subway), walk over to St Pancras, it blends into St Pancras. Signs point the way where to catch the EuroStar. Be there at least 30 mins before the scheduled departure since you have to go through Immigration/Border Control both by the UK and the French, ie, the British stamp you out, the French stamp you in. When the EuroStar reaches Paris, it is at Gare du Nord, ie Paris Nord train station, the only station where the EuroStar stops in Paris, in the 10 arrondisment. (district).

Train to London Waterloo, then transfer either by bus or tube to St Pancras Intl. Tube is quick but requires at least one transfer, so problematic with luggage.

Taxi is also an option, from Waterloo to St. Pancras. At mid-day, should not be a traffic problem. We ended up in traffic and it cost £30,m it well worth it to go door to door with luggage.

I'd allow more time to check in with Eurostar. If you get behind a family or group, you will need more time. I'd err on the side of safety and allow 60 minutes.

I would also suggest flying directly from Southampton to Paris rather than travelling via London.

Your cruise ship probably offers, for a price, transfer from the ship to a central point in London. Then a taxi to St Pancras and there you are.

Thanks for all the replies. I will also look into flying. But we did the Eurostar one time several years ago and it is a great experience.
