Answer: they are idiots, who can be found everywhere. Such a stupid, pointless act. Who would actually think they could gain support for their so called cause by doing something like trying to deface or destroy a priceless work of art?

In one of his bits, stand-up comic Ron White said it best. "You can't fix stupid!"

Mona Lisa has nothing to worry about, she is behind an Armored- bullet-proof glass.

The main victim of this stupid act was a bowl of soup...

Yes, by all means throw edible food as a protest in support of easily accessible, affordable food. They should have been required to lick up all the spilled and thrown soup.

They made their point. They didn't expect to actually damage it (everyone knows it's well-protected). They just wanted attention, which they got. It just didn't move the needle like they think it should, likely having the opposite of intended results.

. They should have been required to lick up all the spilled and thrown soup.

Considering it was pumpkin soup that would certainly be an appropriate punishment.

If these protestors genuinely wanted to improve the lives of the poor and lower income, they could raise money for a soup kitchen / pantry where they could give free homemade soup to the poor and sell homemade soup at a very good price to the lower income.

What they did do is so non productive and helps no one at all but only gets some attention for themselves.

I think these women should be required to do community service for their act.

Is the a deep fake? Everytime I have visited the Louvre there has been a crowd of hundreds taking selfies. No way they acutally got that close.
