Solo Paris Traveller

Hello All,
I will be spending 3days in Paris solo before doing a river cruise.
Please don’t tsk, tsk me for being a chicken when in comes to finding my way around by bus/train.
Does anyone know of either a reasonably priced (max $200€) tour company offering tours of Versailles that include hotel pickup and return or a reasonably priced transfer there and back from hotel ( I can then arrange my own tour).
Cheers!

It would be helpful to know your hotel/ area you're staying in.

Just take a taxi there and back if you do not want to take the train or use a car service like Shuttle Inter or a VTC like Uber. No judgement from me on not wanting to take the train. Any of the options I mentioned should cost less than 200€ round trip and then you can arrange your own tour.

Paris City Vision offers tours to Versailles. They are the actual tour operator. Do not book a tour through a third party such as Viator. Some Paris City Vision tours offer hotel pick up and some don't, but their office and tour departure location is very central in the 1st arrondissiment, across the street from the Tuilleries at Place des Pyramides and would be easy to get to by taxi.

No tsk, tsk - but I will say if you are willing to invest about 3 to 6 minutes of your life watching some YouTube videos there are plenty which will show you step by step how you can get to Versailles on your own via train. I did it on my own and just followed Rick Steves' advice from his Paris guidebook and it was a piece of cake...and not that far of a walk from the station to the Palace.

But if you are willing to fork over 200 Euro, you can join up with many tour groups that will help you get past the long entrance lines faster. If you'd be interested in biking around the extensive grounds of Versailles, perhaps look into the tour offered by Fat Tire Bike Tours. At that price, they have a VIP tour that will offer transportation to/from Versailles, skip the line entry, bikes and some behind the scenes access to some areas of the palace that are closed to most visitors. There are cheaper options with them as well if you don't want the behind the scenes access, but you want someone to help you get from Paris to Versailles.
