It is too early to know what the impact will be, but three SNCF unions have announced a strike for Wednesday 6th July.
So, if you have planned a train trip in France that day (or the previous evening after 7 PM), you will need to check if your train is running a few days beforehand - typically, the info is available 2 days before. The SNCF Connect website should provide that info.
And if you have some flexibility with scheduling, ticket availability is still very good for 7th July (school holidays only start on 8th July).
Thanks for sharing this (annoying) news, Balso.
Forewarned is forearmed. Bumping back up.
SNCF issued this press release today (July 4) with more details about what services will be affected during Wednesday's strike (in French) - look for the press release titled “ Infotrafic du mercredi 6 juillet 2022”

I am heading to France in a week and will be traveling by train. What does one do if there is a strike? Wait until the next day? Try to find a bus or car-share? Camp out at the station? Any input appreciated!
SNCF.com is available in English and has a feature where you can type in your train number, 1-2 days ahead of the strike day, and it will tell you if it runs.
If it does not run, the best course of action is to book another train that is confirmed to run.
No train strikes announced next week, though. Airports are another story...
Thanks Balso!
Turns out the impact of the strike is relatively mild, about 20-25% cancellations on intercity routes. Worse for suburban trains around Paris, beware if you need to go to Versailles for example!
