SNCF/Oui Website Now Working

The website https://en.oui.sncf/en/ is now working--at least as far as schedule display goes. I didn't try to buy a ticket.

Hi acraven, I must be doing something wrong.

I created my profile and put in my routing from CDG to Aix-en-Provence on September 6 (our flight lands at 8:50 a.m.) A 6:00 a.m. OUIGO train appears but that's it.

I tried switching destinations and put in Marseilles but it only showed me two early trains, a 6:00 a.m. and a 7:16 a.m.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thank you!

@calimom, I am also trying to purchase tickets for September. I am seeing the same thing in trying to get tickets from Toulouse. I don't think they are up for sale yet. I did do a little research and usually they are posted 3 months in advance, but I also saw that some times its 60 days. It could be as travel ramps up they are trying to determine demand.

EDITED TO ADD--so I just tried both trainline and SNCF and couldn't even get tickets for July for my route? I'm pretty sure I was able to get routes to come up yesterday

Rats. It was working for me when I posted.

I'm not planning a trip to France at the moment, so I only hit that website when I'm trying to answer someone else's question. I wonder what they are doing that's causing all this churn. I can understand that September tickets might not be on sale yet, but July??

Jules, I tried it again just now (June 30th in France/June 29th in USA).

At the top right of the home page, there is a little flag. I chose France so it gave me the French flag and the website in French. Then Google translated the website automatically to English.

On this "French" site, there was a notice that said September - November would open for booking on June 30th and sure enough, I can see a few other routes from CDG to Aix. There are not a lot of choices, so I'm not sure I am seeing the full timetable but I see more. I think you are right, and there might be more choices 60 days out.

Yes, the sales for September just opened this morning French time. This is why there were no tickets available earlier.

I just tried for Oct 2 and it only displayed one TGV-LYRIA train. When can I expect the others for that day be posted?

The schedule is available, I picked a ticket and the site would not accept my VISA nor Mastercard. Tried the Trainline website and the tickets are $10 more per person

PURCHASED TGV TICKETS FOR END OF SEPTEMBER TOULOUSE TO PARIS

Thanks, Toccard. Save a train, wouldn't accept my VISA. It did accept AMEX. (I didn't try AMEX with Oui.)

And I made a silly mistake with Trainline. Oui was in Euro, Trainline was in USD. However, using Save a train did save about $6.

The email confirmation from Save a Train was a little slow, meaning not instantaneous. After a few minutes it did come.

Also, just as an FYI, I didn't research the information much, because I was going to buy the ticket regardless, but it does sound like Oui may now allow exchanges of tickets of 2nd class TGV tickets purchased in advance, PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, though there may have been a 15 euro fee.

EDITED TO ADD: Can a ticket with a QR code be printed more than once? Meaning if I print it now and lose/misplace it, can it be printed again?

I created my profile on sncf and accidentally selected the wrong birthdate so had to put in a request for them to change it. :/ ugh

So. I have a few more days to ponder taking the train from CDG to Aix-en-Provence or connecting to Air France and flying to Marseilles 🤷‍♀️

Cali, I tried to set up a profile on SNCF thinking that might help with the purchase. I tried using both Firefox and Chrome, neither worked for setting up a profile. I did get the email to confirm, but there was no way for me to get the confirmation to go thru

For what it's worth -- I went to 5 different train booking sites including sncf (English and French), OUIGO, SaveAtrain and Trainline. The two SNCF sites showed the exact same but otherwise, every site showed me different train routes.

Also, I believe someone was asking and it looks like OUIGO tickets can be refunded or exchanged for free before August 29. After that, it goes back to the regular policy of no cancellation or refund and exchanges must be made 1 1/2 hours prior to departure.

And yes, airline checked bags are 5 Euro each and should be booked when train tickets are booked.

The CDG to Marne La Vallee Chessy (TGV) then OUIGO to Aix routing on September 6 departing at 11:57 a.m. works for us. I'm just surprised there are more choices.

Do I need to wait to buy a ticket since I input my birthdate wrong? Also, why am I nervous about booking this?
