Sncf electronic train tickets - printing required?

I am considering purchasing train tickets from ste lazare to Vernon for visiting giverny online. It appears that electronic format is available. It says to be collected at train station. What does that mean?

I am hoping that there would be email confirmation or e ticket that would serve the purpose when checked by conductor. Please advise. Thanks!

This past week we purchased train tickets from Paris to Vernon at the station about 30 minutes prior to the 8:15 train's departure.
I don't think there is any advantage to purchasing this kind of train ticket in advance (this is not a TGV ticket that has to be reserved in advance).
This keeps things simple, you can just go to the purchase tickets window and get paper tickets from a person rather than a machine (the machines won't take your American credit card).
The train that leaves Gare St. Lazare station at around 8:15 am is ideal for this trip because it enables you to get to Giverny at opening time, opening time last week was at 9:30 am. There will still be crowds but it appeared to me to make a difference whether you arrive at 9:30 instead of 10am or later.

Thanks Kent! I will plan to arrive at the station early as suggested. How about purchasing advance tickets online for giverny? Is it advisable to avoid lines assuming arriving before opening time?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, that's what I did, purchased the Giverny admission tickets online in advance, but not the train tickets.
