I want to use the official app for buying train tickets in France, SNFC connect, but I can't find where to change the language from French to English. Has anyone been able to figure out how to do this? I have looked for these instructions in all probable places and have not found them. Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Do you have an Iphone?
On the Iphone
1) Open Settings
2) Scroll down and select SNCF Connect
3) Select Preferred Language and change to English
Thank you very much Laura.
It's unbelievable, but it really only changes the language if you change the general language configuration of the cell phone.
Sorry, I don't know which setting to change, but Laura's instructions don't apply to my iPhone 14. My SNCF app defaults to English, but I'm not sure why. I don't find any setting inside the app or outside (on iphone) to specify a language. So I'm wondering if it defaults based on your location. You have to specify the country when you enter your phone number. Sorry I can't be more help, but you can also contact SNCF directly (chat or email) and ask them how to set or reset the language. Good luck.
On the website, if you scroll down to the bottom of the home page, there is a box 'Choix du Pays'.
If you can find that on the app then select 'Other regions and countries' from the drop down box. That will give you the English language version.
My phone defaults to English. I have a French address and telephone number. I pay in euros. I bought my iphone in France. I type in both languages. Go figure?
