Small village half way between Menerbes and Valbonne as base.

We are looking for a smallish village for our base that is half way between Menerbes and Valbonne. We have visited both areas previously and are thinking Menerbes may be too far north and Valbonne too far south.

Here is our criteria:
Charming village with basics such as a Boulangerie/ patisserie and a couple decent restaurants that aren’t pizzerias. We will be renting a home or apartment and a designated parking space or garage is ideal.

We like Valbonne for its “flatness” and like Menerbes for it’s views and restaurants ( parking can be difficult) .
Does anyone have a suggestion for a less traveled/known village?

Thank you! (Love this forum)

Update on my post. We found a terrific rental in the small village of Goult in the Vaucluse.

Goult is great! Excellent choice for touring the Luberon, and even beyond: it's located close to the D900 main road so it is a bit faster to drive out to other regions compared to, say, Bonnieux and Roussillon.

Thank you, Balso, good to know. We chose Goult for its location and that it’s small and less traveled than others.
