Small or Medium lockers around shopping area stations

Hi All,

I wonder if there's any small or medium lockers around Champ du Elysees' , Avenue Montaigne or St Honore stats? or my next choice would be around Ile de La Cite stats.

if there're, are they safe? i wouldn't store laptop inside just the shoppings i've done since my hotel is pretty far from those places and they must be heavy to carry around.

cheers

Since 9/11 public lockers have pretty much disappeared except where security screens stuff first. So you can store things at most train stations after going through a security screen but there are not public lockers just here and there for safety reasons. One of the advantages of getting lodging that is central is to not have to lug stuff all day.

Hi, so does it mean there are safekeeping rooms but not lockers? How much do they charge for the rooms?

Cheers

If you're booked at the hotel and waiting for the room to be readied until official check-in time, its generally free, although they may just stick it in a closet behind the front desk.

Hi Sam,

The shopping day is the 2nd day so not on check in day. I plan to look for lockers around stations on the main shopping area so I wouldn't have to carry them around. The last resort is i'd have to go back to my hotel to store them first :D

The primary place for baggage storage is at the major train stations: Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, but at a price that will probably be similar to just taking a taxi back to your hotel. I don't know whether a particular store would offer to hold bags form other stores. (I hope this is toward the end of your trip, so you don't have to carry purchases through more cities.)

Hi Laura
you make the point, i'd rather use the money for cab going back to the hotel. Actually my hotel is just right in front of Gare de Lyon but I'd spent my time around Elysees and st Honore. The time spent going back to the hotel from that area isn't short either. it'd take approx 30mnts from Gare de Lyon to Champ de Mars without transit in between.
