Looking for a good small tour group with transportation and guide to visit the Loire Valley châteaux.
I will be in Paris from Aug.17 to 30th. Tahnks Cheryl
You will love the Loire Valley; it's gorgeous and each chateau has its own kind of charm. Just be aware the region is very spread out.
How many days in the Loire Valley are you planning? If you want a day trip from Paris it will be a long day and you'll be rather rushed as you zoom from one chateaux at the eastern end of the region to the next. We spent 3 nights in Azay-le-Rideau last year, visited 3 chateaux on our own w/rental car, and left regretting we didn't have enough time to see more.
I know I haven't given much of an answer to your question about finding a tour, but you can see a range of tours at << http://www.pariscityvision.com/en/france/loire-valley-castles >> .
We just returned from France and stayed in a beautiful apartment in Amboise. The owner also runs châteaux tours that looked excellent, although we had rented a car and didn't need to use them. Her husband is a wine expert and can also organize wine tasting tours to small wineries.

The apartments were the best places we stayed in France. We had two families and rented #2 and #3. Charming, impeccable clean, and insanely amazing views of the castle from the windows.
