Small group tour guides/companies for Paris

I am traveling solo to Paris at the end of March, staying at Hôtel Left Bank. I'd like to make the best use of my 3 full days (which are Friday to Sunday) by taking small group tours. For a food walking tour I am planning to use Paris by Mouth. I am now looking for a tour of Musée d'Orsay. My preference is a small group, 10 or less, with a licensed guide. Not looking for a dense art history lesson as I have no art background, just a love of impressionist art. I see prices all over, from $57 to €230 (yes I realize these are not the same currencies). I'd prefer not to use a consolidator, but it does seem that the greatest selection is through companies like Getyourguide. Does anyone have a personal recommendation?

I'm also interested in using small group guides for Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle, and maybe a WW2 era tour, but the tour budget has its limits.

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and expertise. I'll be looking for help setting up my itinerary soon.

I will be going to Paris solo for the first time in May so I am going to follow any recommendations you might get.

But there is a non profit by the name of Paris Greeters. You request a Greeter. You fill out a form writing about what you want from the experience. It is done by donation. I believe that it is one on one. I do not know if they will go into a museum or church with you but they might meet you at the church or museum and discuss it with you. I also might be wrong. Perhaps they will go into the museum or church with you.

I am too early to request a Greeter but you might be able to. Paris Greeters.

Update: Here is. the website of Paris Greeters. This non profit might not work for you but perhaps you could ask them to recommend a tour.

Depending on the day of the week, there is an excellent walking tour with Paris Walks of the Right Bank with an WWII Occupation and Resistance focus. They also have a tour of Musee d'Orsay if you are on the right day of the week. It's also possible to book a private tour with them but they are a little pricey. I've done their Right Bank Occupation tour twice it was that good. The group size will vary but at the end of March you may have a smaller group than at another busier time.

An excellent option for WWII focus is the Museum of the Liberation. It's a City of Paris museum and free but closed on Mondays.

From GetYourGuide you should be able to go to the website for the company offering the tour and get in to the detail of the guides' qualifications. That is important to me but may not be important to anyone else.

I'd love to know what you come up with!
