Sleeping in (or near) Reims

I have the 2022 RS France guide which lists 3 accommodations from Reims. One is quite pricy, on is okay, and the last has changed hands/ownership. Would anyone have recent recommendations in the area for ~100 euros/night, either B&B or hotel?

We are also considering this Guest house in Sarry, near Châlons-en-Champagne, 45-minutes from Reims www.lajanenquelle.com, but would prefer to be closer. We will have a car and these will be the last two days (Oct 28-30) at the end of a 21-day road trip before flying out of CDG.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was nice enough. Comfortable. Air conditioned and good good.

.My son was just there Friday at the Holiday Inn and they really !liked it. It had a lovely rooftop bar with great view of the cathedral and downtown area.

We stayed in Reims at this apartment last weekend. Very close to city center, bakery, small grocery store. Easy to get off highway to apartment. Parking spot in garage under apartment building.

Bed was a little small, but for two nights was fine, €187 for 2 nights

You do not have to stay in Reims. If you are considering staying somewhere reasonable away from Reims, I would suggest Chateau-Thierry. I like Chateau-Thierry aside from its significant connection to WW1.

Other sites to be visited if your interest does not lie with WW1.

One day, while staying a bit longer than intended north of Reims, I ended up making last minute plans to stay over. I used the ibis Styles Reims Centre Hotel, which was not bad. The issue was all the construction just outside of the place which prevented parking, so I ended up with my car on a side street about 3 blocks away.

There's a small restaurant just down the block called Flaveur which was very nice. The Asian fusion reminded me a lot of hole in the wall places I used to frequent in L.A.
