I am having a confusing time looking through the different skip the line options for Versailles. We will be there in late September. Some sites suggest going on Tuesday or Fridays in order to see the fountain show. They also say to not go on the weekend. Can someone recommend an option they have had success using? Also, is it better to go in the morning or afternoon?
We will be taking the train from Paris.

We took the Kings Apartment Tour, which was fabulous for only a few euros more than the entry fee. But you must have purchased an entry ticket. We had the Museum pass which covered Versailles and some of the chateaus on the grounds. I just looked on the website and you can purchase a ticket with a timed entry!
